Story of the Week
Reflect, Don’t Compare
As we head into Thanksgiving week, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the year you’ve had. Yes, December is still ahead, and maybe you didn’t hit every goal you set back in January.
That’s okay. Don’t stress over what’s left on your list, and definitely don’t fall into the comparison trap — everyone’s journey looks different, and social media only shows the highlight reels.
Instead, focus on how far you’ve come, the lessons you’ve learned, and the progress you’ve made (even if it feels small). Use this time to reset, recharge, and start thinking about how you want to finish the year and step into 2026.
Thank the Heroes Behind the Scenes
And while you’re at it, don’t forget to thank the people who’ve supported you — directly or indirectly — on your journey. The loved ones who’ve cheered you on, picked up the slack, or simply “dealt with you” as you chased your dreams.
For me, that’s my wife, April. She’s not in the business, but she keeps the house running, keeps the kids on track, and gives me the space and support to do what I need to do for our family and the business. She does it all without public recognition or praise, but I want to thank her here. She’s the hero behind the scenes.
Maybe for you it’s your partner, your kids, your parents, your team, or your friends. Whoever it is, take a moment this week to let them know you appreciate them. Sometimes a simple “thank you” means more than we realize.
Looking Ahead
December is still ahead, and 2026 is just around the corner. If you’re behind, don’t stress. Use this time to reflect, reset, and get ready for what’s next. The best is yet to come.
Wishing you and your loved ones a restful, grateful, and joyful Thanksgiving!
